Motherhood: 8 Reasons Why You Are Not Enjoying It Right Now

If nothing else will excite you about being a mom, envision the mother you would want to be when your kid has “bring your parents to school day” (if that’s still a thing).

Will your kids be proud to say my mom is the greatest? She was determined to succeed. Will they say, mommy, got knocked down, then got back up, and gave us a good life?

Will they think you’re a go-getting, goal-setting, making it happen at all costs to provide me the best life type of mom? She is the Queen of my heart.

Whatever you imagine your kid to say, focus on that a be the best version of yourself. Become the woman that you want them to be proud to see. Most importantly, be the version of yourself that you can’t wait to see in the mirror.

Rediscover Yourself

This journey of motherhood can leave you feeling drained and depleted. You need an outlet to keep you sane and focused.

If you haven’t already, develop a hobby. Find something that will help you feel fulfilled. You may be a budding mompreneur. All you need is to take time to water your talents and abilities and watch them grow.

Take some time to really take care of yourself. Read your Bible more and consistently. Pray. Talk to God, but keep in mind that praying is our way of communicating with God. Communication is a two-way street. It’s not just about us talking to and thanking God, but also listening to what He’s requiring of you do that your prayers het answered.

Work on improving the way you feel about yourself. Go to the gym or exercise at home. Go for a walk or go for a run. Get a new hairdo, wear some lip gloss, get a mani/Pedi, and buy some new clothes. Whatever you decide, do what will help you to be more productive.

You will be great in a way that is unique to you because God didn’t create you to be mediocre. You are special.

We all have something within us that God placed inside each of us. It’s so distinct that it was customized specifically for you, waiting to sprout up and grow even more now that you are a mother.

So take time to rediscover your talents and hidden treasures. God didn’t give our talents to us to hide them away from the world. Don’t allow the Light in you to go dim.

Let it shine! It has lives to touch.
