Mama, Motherhood, the ultimate sisterhood
Peonies

Hey, Mama!

Welcome to The Kinky Stages of Motherhood!

A Christian based motherhood blog.

I created this space for mothers like you. Women who are learning, evolving, and rediscovering who they are in Christ.

Here, we embrace every twist and turn of this journey. The beautiful, the messy, the stretching, the testing, and the sacred faith-filled moments.

Because Motherhood isn’t the end of who you are…

It’s the transformation into who you are becoming.

Who Is This Blog For?

Are you the type of woman who constantly pours into everyone else’s cup only to realize that you have nothing left to give to yourself?

Do you recognize the person staring at you in the mirror?

Maybe you’re not quite sure who you are anymore.

You love your children and you want your marriage to work, but deep down, you wonder if you’re strong enough to hold onto it all. Do you even feel like it’s worth fighting for? Is your faith strong enough?

You question your decisions and if God still hears you through your tears.

And yet—somehow—you still show up every day. Giving. Pouring. Still pushing forward…
from a cup that also needs to be filled.

I created this space with you in mind, Mama.

Because somewhere between your routines and your responsibilities, it feels like a part of you is missing and you don’t think you’ll ever see “her again. Oftentimes, you’re reminded of who you once were. Unsure on how to move forward from where you are now.

I created this blog for the mother who are ready to learn how to nurture her families without abandoning themselves. It’s for the mother who are ready to take the next step into a new season to rediscover who she is and to be reminded daily of Whose they are – through every stage of motherhood, with God at the center of it all.

This space is for the stay-at-home mother who feels overwhelmed but desires more.

She’s a wife. She’s a mother.

This mother is looking for answers, because she wants to learn how to balance wifehood, motherhood, and womanhood, while building her faith.

She may be operating in survival mode, but desires growth, peace, and the space to fulfill her purpose. She ultimately desires to become the woman God created her to be while being the wife and mother He needs her to be.

Are You Ready For Change?

But there is a bright beacon at the end of this tunnel. It’s calling you to a better life. A life filled with growth, clarity, and wisdom.

And the beautiful truth about Abba is this: He will always look after His daughters. So if that’s where you are right now, you are not alone.

And most importantly, you are not lost.

God hears you.

What Makes This Blog Special?

This is more than a blog.

It’s a space created to facilitate a community for mothers who have either lost, unearthed, and, or otherwise revamped their identities, to learn, connect, grow, and to have real conversations together. A sisterhood amongst us mothers. A momsterhood!

Because as women, we want to be seen. We want to feel as if our voice matters.

As a mother and a Christian woman, doing things the “right” way can seem like an impossible feat. And pleasing our family while also making time for ourselves may feel like a job in itself. But do not lose hope. You are here, right now, on this blog, in this season, for a reason.

You don’t have to choose between being a devoted mother, a loving wife, and the woman you feel called to become.
With God at the center, you can walk fully and faithfully into. each role—strengthened through Philippians 4:13.

Even when you feel overlooked or disconnected, Isaiah 49:15 reminds us that you are never forgotten.

And through it all, God is with you—guiding you, restoring you, and giving you peace beyond understanding, just as Philippians 4:6-7 reminds us

Why Did You Create The Kinky Stages of Motherhood?

I’m a wife to one, a mother of six (including two sets of twins), and a woman learning to redefine herself God’s way.

I know what it feels like to be needed every moment of the day, yet still feel like you’re wandering without direction.

I know what it feels like to be overwhelmed. To find moments to focus through the noise to find peace.

The exhaustion of running on empty, due to lack of sleep and self-care, but getting up to get things done, because the children have to go to school.

Simply going through the motions, showing up for everyone else, while pushing the parts of me aside that required my attention for another day that seemed to be moving further and further away.

As mothers, we know that we want to get out of the reality that we’re in, but we don’t necessarily know where we want to go. And if you have an idea of where you want to be, you may have a problem figuring out how to get there.

And I get it. Motherhood can shift everything overnight. Who you once were before you had children is now struggling to keep her presence around, because let’s face it, taking care of children, even one, much less several, is a full and demanding responsibility. One that cannot be taken lightly. And yet somewhere in the middle of it all, It’s always easy to forget about yourself.

But I know there’s more and I want so much more from God, and not just physical things, but more clarity, more discernment, and just the desire to be in alignment with the purpose that God gave me when He created me.

A Gentle Reminder and Your Next Step

Motherhood may be challenging, but it does come with its beautiful and heartfelt rewards.

It may stress you, and test you, and stretch you thin, but it will never erase who you are meant to be.

So I invite you to stay. Explore. Share. Grow. Become.

Because the woman you’re looking for in already within you and with God you will find her again.

So, join me and begin your journey to rediscovering who you are in Christ, and to find the joys in motherhood. Give yourself a chance to step out on faith to meet her.

Surprise yourself and permit yourself to be great.

You got this, Mama!

It always seems impossible until it’s done. ~ Nelson Mandela
